ProVention Forum 2009: 13-15 May, Istanbul, Turkey |
"Risk and Governance: Bridging national enabling environments and local action"
Organized in partnership with ISDR and the World Bank, the 2009 Forum fostered cross-disciplinary and cross-regional linkages and learning by bringing ProVention partners and relevant stakeholders together from around the globe. Participants focused on the following three topics:
- how national governments are creating an enabling environment for successful risk reduction and climate change adaptation,
- how communities can work together through local and meso-level governance processes
- and how inclusive processes can better connect these two levels.
